Janet Taylor Pickett returns to her longtime hometown with “The Matisse Series” at the Montclair Museum of Art. She plays on French artist Henri Matisse’s joyful use of color and pattern, as well as its African roots. Janet Taylor Pickett describes how she creates her signature dresses, and we talk with her longtime friend and curator, Janet Imlay. Footage includes a visit to a master class.
