The Shape of Light at the Newark Museum
Clip | 4m 35s
Mexican-born artist Gabriel Dawe spins a mind-bending web of light in the Newark Museum. State of the Arts visits him as he works on his installation The Shape Of Light, using a loom-like system he invented. Dawe attempts to subvert prevalent notions of masculinity with his thread-based work. We also speak with the museum’s new Curator of American Art Tricia Bloom.
